Meet Jacob — a 17-year-old goalie with a huge heart, a sharp mind for business, and a passion for growing the game of hockey. Jacob grew up playing inline hockey and picked up ice hockey in high school. But his journey took a bold turn at just 14 years old, when he made a decision that would change the landscape of youth inline hockey in Colorado.

When his mom declined to pay for another season with the only available inline hockey club, Jacob didn’t quit. Instead, he asked if he could start his own team. Her challenge? Find committed coaches, teammates (and parents) willing to trust a 14-year-old, secure practice space, design uniforms, handle waivers, and manage registrations — and then, maybe. That same year, Jacob did it all. He founded The Good Guys, an independent 14U inline travel team.

Fast forward to 2025, and The Good Guys have grown into a thriving club with three teams — a testament to Jacob’s drive, leadership, and love for the game.

But he didn’t stop there.

After one of the only major inline tournament series pulled out of Colorado, leaving his team without a competition and a lot of disappointment, Jacob took matters into his own hands. He created JAHM Hockey and launched his own tournament series. Now in its second year, his tournaments in Parker, Colorado have been a big success — bringing teams together for fun, competitive, community-driven events.

Jacob lives out the JAHM motto — “PLAY MORE” — every single day. Whether he’s in net or organizing the next big thing for Colorado’s inline community, he’s focused on growing the game, building connections, and inspiring other young players to dream big and skate hard.

We’re proud to feature Jacob as our very first Roller Rundown Player of the Month!
