TRYOUT INFO FOR TEAM CO:
The Colorado 2026 tryout date is set for March 6-8 at Pepsi Roller Sports Arena, DURING Mile High Mania.
We have decided that rather than have players (and parents) drive many miles away during the tournament to a different facility to hold a short tryout, that we would evaluate the players during the Mile High Mania. So all registered players for tryouts will be evaluated by our staff during tournament play and would need to be registered prior to the start of the tournament. This will give our staff more time to watch the players in game action, to see what their skill set is and their game awareness. I personally am very excited for this opportunity. We will also be reducing the tryout fee $15 as we won’t have a need to handout tryout jerseys (if you have already registered we will refund this $15 to you).
We also will be setting up a one hour separate evaluation session for any players that happen to not be playing on a team in the Mile High Mania. If you are in this situation let us know, we can also try to find your child a team to play on for the tournament as well.
All results for Team Colorado will be announced after the tournament.
Make sure you sign up online for the appropriate division. This year we are going to continue our RISK FREE policy. All players who do no make their state teams will have their tryout money reimbursed. So yes, if you tryout and do not make the team, you still receive a FREE State Wars Hockey tryout jersey, evaluations from unbiased selection committee, and chance to see where you stack up against other players your age. How can you go wrong? Tryouts are for all ages from 6u thru 2008 birth years. Girls who are born in 2007 are eligible to tryout with the 2008 birth year!
